Clippers 113, Wizards 99: Chris Paul had 30 points and 15 assists and DeAndre Jordan collected 23 rebounds as host Los Angeles halted Washington’s five-game winning streak.

J.J. Redick scored 26 points and Blake Griffin added 22 as the Clippers took over sole possession of fifth place in the Western Conference. Jordan added 10 points and Redick made four of Los Angeles’ 12 3-pointers.

John Wall had 19 points and 10 assists and Bradley Beal scored 18 points for the Wizards, who fell one game behind the fourth-place Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference. Nene tallied 14 points and Marcin Gortat had 12 for Washington.

The Wizards trailed by 15 late in the third quarter and moved within 94-88 on Kevin Seraphin’s basket with 8:52 remaining but was soon back to facing a double-digit deficit. Redick drained a 3-pointer to make it 103-90 with 5:18 left, Paul’s jumper pushed the margin to 17 with 3:08 on the clock and the lead was 19 when the Clippers cleared the bench.

Los Angeles led by as many as 14 in the first quarter and shot 11-of-19 from 3-point range in the first half while taking a 66-54 lead into the break. Washington was within nine late in the third quarter before Paul scored six straight points and the Clippers took a 90-77 lead into the fourth quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Jordan has collected 20 or more rebounds 10 times this season. … Washington held its previous 11 foes under 100 points. … Clippers SF Matt Barnes (hamstring) returned from a two-game absence and scored eight points.
