Suns 100, Jazz 93: Marcus Morris scored 24 of his career-high 34 points in the first half and collected a career-best 12 rebounds as host Phoenix sidestepped Utah.

Eric Bledsoe had 15 points and four steals for the Suns, who received five 3-pointers from Morris while connecting on 14-of-27 from behind the arc. Markieff Morris had 12 points and eight rebounds, P.J. Tucker scored 12 points and Isaiah Thomas added 10 points.

Gordon Hayward scored 24 points for the Jazz, who have dropped five of their last six games. Derrick Favors added 20 points and Rudy Gobert contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Two free throws by Thomas gave Phoenix a 92-79 lead with 4:13 to play before Utah went on a 9-2 push to pull within six on a 3-pointer by Chris Johnson with 1:09 remaining. Tucker answered with a 3-pointer and Marcus Morris added two free throws as the Suns protected the lead.

The Jazz held an 11-point first-quarter lead before Marcus Morris began his stellar performance, and he made all of his 3-point baskets in a first half that saw the Suns hold a 54-42 lead at the break. Phoenix led by 15 points early in the third quarter before Utah was able to trim its deficit to 76-71 entering the final stanza.
