Heat 102, Nets 96: LeBron James tied his career playoff high of 49 points and Chris Bosh hit the tiebreaking 3-pointer in the final minute as visiting Miami knocked off Brooklyn to take a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Bosh scored 12 points and made a corner 3-pointer with 57.3 seconds left to give the Heat a 97-94 lead but Miami was carried by James, who was 16-of-24 from the field. Dwayne Wade contributed 15 points for the Heat, who will attempt to wrap up the series when they host Game 5 on Wednesday.

Joe Johnson scored 18 points and Paul Pierce added 16 for the Nets. Shaun Livingston and Deron Williams added 13 points apiece for Brooklyn, which was unable to follow up its sparkling Game 3 showing.

The Nets had a 90-89 lead after a three-point play by Pierce with 4:25 remaining but didn’t make another field goal until there were 7.1 seconds left. James scored Miami’s next five points and Brooklyn’s Kevin Garnett hit two free throws to tie it with 2:30 to play before Bosh drained his decisive 3-pointer, Ray Allen added four free throws and James split two free throws with 1.1 seconds to play to tie his personal best.

James had 25 in the first half as Miami held a 56-49 lead at the break. He scored 15 of Miami’s 23 third-quarter points as the Heat took a 79-76 advantage into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: James also scored 49 points on May, 20 2009 against the Orlando Magic when he was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers. … Allen (11) also scored in double digits for the Heat, while Alan Anderson added 10 for Brooklyn. … The Nets were 5-of-22 from 3-point range after setting a franchise playoff record with 15 in Game 3.
