Spurs 133, Nuggets 102: Marco Belinelli matched his season high of six 3-pointers during a 27-point effort as San Antonio routed host Denver for its 16th consecutive victory.

Tim Duncan added 20 points and eight rebounds as the Spurs maintained their Western Conference lead of three games over second-place Oklahoma City. Patty Mills scored 16 points and Kawhi Leonard added 14 as San Antonio moved one victory away from matching the franchise record for consecutive wins, set during the 1995-96 season.

Randy Foye scored 20 points for the Nuggets, who lost to San Antonio for the second time in three nights and have dropped three straight overall. Kenneth Faried added 18 points and 13 rebounds and Evan Fournier scored 15 points.

Belinelli began his shooting spree with four 3-pointers in the final 2:50 of the first quarter to give the Spurs a 31-23 lead. He knocked down two more in a 23-second span during the middle of the second quarter and San Antonio took a 62-43 lead into the break.

Manu Ginobili’s basket increased the Spurs’ lead to 27 with 4:31 left in the third en route to a 97-74 edge entering the final stanza. Austin Daye hit three straight 3-pointers during a 79-second stretch of the fourth quarter to boost the lead to 110-79 and San Antonio’s advantage topped out at 35.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
San Antonio shot 56.1 percent from the field, including 13-of-24 from 3-point range. … Denver F Wilson Chandler (groin) missed his fifth straight game. … The Spurs had a 51-41 rebounding advantage and a 64-42 edge in points in the paint.
