Tony Wroten's 19 points off the bench paced the 76ers, who have lost by an average of just under 20 points over the length of their skid. Thaddeus Young added 17 points while Michael Carter-Williams had 15 points and seven assists.

Ariza couldn't miss in the early going, knocking down five 3-pointers in the opening 6:32 - four of them assisted by Wall - as the Wizards broke out to a 26-13 edge. He added a sixth 3-pointer to help Washington carry a 41-28 edge into the second, and the Wizards overcame a 9-0 Philadelphia run to open the quarter as Ariza knocked down another 3-pointer and Wall added a three-point play to send the Wizards into the break ahead 74-62.

The 76ers made it a single-digit deficit on Wroten's driving slam with 5:11 remaining in the third quarter, but managed only one field goal over the next 3:50 as Ariza had a dunk and a layup to help Washington carry a 97-83 lead into the fourth. Philadelphia wouldn't get any closer than nine points the rest of the way, as Bradley Beal and Marcin Gortat hit consecutive layups and Wall hit a 3-pointer off an Ariza feed to bring on both benches with 3:50 remaining.
