Nets 106, Bulls 89: Deron Williams scored 22 points and Brook Lopez added 21 as host Brooklyn routed Chicago in the opening game of the best-of-7 series.

Joe Johnson scored 16 points, C.J. Watson and Gerald Wallace added 14 apiece and Reggie Evans grabbed 13 rebounds as the Nets rolled to a 25-point halftime and cruised to the easy victory.

Carlos Boozer had 25 points and Nate Robinson scored 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting for the Bulls. Game 2 is Monday in Brooklyn.

The Nets led by 11 after one quarter of the franchise’s first playoff game since relocating to Brooklyn. The lead reached 20 on a 3-pointer by Watson with 3:47 left in the half and was 60-35 at the break.

Chicago was unable to make a run and the Nets led by 27 entering the fourth quarter and continued to hold a comfortable lead throughout the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The victory was the first in the playoffs for the Nets since beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals on May 16, 2007. … Bulls C Joakim Noah (foot) was largely ineffective in 13 minutes with four points and five rebounds. PG Kirk Hinrich had two points in 28 minutes before leaving with a thigh injury while PG Derrick Rose (knee) still hasn’t decided if he will play in the series. … Brooklyn had a 40-8 edge in points in the paint in the first half and finished with a 56-36 advantage.
