Raptors 88, Wizards 78:
Rookie Jonas Valanciunas scored a season-high 24 points and added 10 rebounds as host Toronto used a big second half to take down Washington.

DeMar DeRozan added 25 points and Kyle Lowry collected nine points and 13 assists for the Raptors, who won for the second time in the last nine games and avenged a 109-92 loss at the Wizards on Sunday.

John Wall scored 20 points and Emeka Okafor had 17 as Washington fell to 7-30 on the road. The Wizards, who beat the Chicago Bulls at home on Tuesday, struggled to maintain their energy on the second night of a back-to-back and shot 32.5 percent.

Washington bridged the first and second quarters with a 16-4 run to take a 34-27 lead. Toronto pulled back within a point before another burst sent the Wizards into the half with a 50-39 lead.

The Raptors took control in the third, holding Washington to 4-of-21 from the field and getting 10 points from DeRozan to grab a 68-62 lead heading into the fourth. The Wizards would make it a one-possession game on Okafor’s jumper with 7:22 left but did not make a field goal the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Toronto F Rudy Gay went 2-for-8 from the field and is 7-for-29 in three games against Washington since joining the Raptors. … The Wizards shot 20 percent in the second half, including 0-of-9 from 3-point range. … Valanciunas went 16-for-18 from the free-throw line and blocked two shots.
