Rockets 116, Warriors 107: James Harden scored 27 points to lead seven players in double figures as visiting Houston extended Golden State’s slide to a season-high five games.

Chandler Parsons collected 21 points, eight rebounds and nine assists and Omer Asik added 13 points and 15 boards for the Rockets, who went 10 of 34 from 3-point range after matching an NBA record with 23 3-pointers in a win over the Warriors a week ago.

Stephen Curry scored 27 points, Klay Thompson had 22 and David Lee recorded 12 points and 12 rebounds as Golden State had a four-game home winning streak come to an end. The Warriors were returning home following an 0-4 road trip.

Golden State trailed by a point at the half but struggled in the third quarter as Houston stretched out the lead. Curry sat most of the period with foul trouble and the Warriors missed his ball handling ability while committing six turnovers in the period.

Parsons scored 11 points in the third quarter but also showed off his passing, handing out assists on four straight possessions as Houston turned a five-point lead into an 88-77 advantage with 1:12 left in the frame.

Curry’s 3-pointer with 10:30 left in the game chopped it back down to 91-86, and Golden State would keep it as close as six points on Lee’s bucket three minutes later. But Carlos Delfino and Marcus Morris hit 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions to give the Rockets a 107-95 edge with 6:07 to play.

Harden’s 3-pointer with 1:55 left stretched the lead to 13 points and put the game away.
