76ers 78, Magic 61: Spencer Hawes racked up 21 points and 14 rebounds and Jrue Holiday added 13 points and 14 assists as Philadelphia matched a season-high with a third consecutive win and sent visiting Orlando to its 10th straight loss.
Nick Young contributed 15 points and Lavoy Allen scored 10 off the bench for the 76ers, who have won three straight and four of five. The Sixers won for only the third time in the past 17 regular-season meetings with Orlando and just the second time in the last nine contests in Philadelphia.
E'Twaun Moore scored 18 points and Nikola Vucevic added nine points and 14 rebounds for Orlando, which has lost 21 of its last 23. The Magic were without small forward Arron Afflalo (calf) and guards Jameer Nelson (arm) and J.J. Redick (shoulder). With forward Glen Davis also out two to three months with a broken foot, Orlando was without its top four scorers.
The short-handed Magic were dismal at the offensive end, shooting 33.8 percent overall and going 1-for-12 from 3-point range en route to a season-low scoring total. Orlando held its only lead at 4-2, before the Sixers reeled off a 14-0 run to break it open. Holiday recorded five assists during the pivotal stretch.
Orlando pulled within 42-35 at halftime and trimmed the margin to 44-41 early in the third, but the Magic didn't score another field goal for nearly seven minutes, as Philadelphia used a 14-1 spurt to regain control.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Philadelphia's Thaddeus Young left the game in the second quarter with a left hamstring injury and did not return. … The 76ers improved to 19-0 this season when taking a lead into the fourth quarter, while the Magic dropped to 0-15 when failing to reach 90 points. … Josh McRoberts' 3-pointer with 3:04 left preserved the Magic's streak of 458 games with a 3-pointer, a string that dates to March 17, 2007.
