Raptors 98, Clippers 73: Rudy Gay scored 20 points in his Toronto debut and Amir Johnson added 19 points and 16 rebounds in a rout of visiting Los Angeles.

Gay, acquired Wednesday from Memphis in a three-team trade, finished 8-for-16 from the field with three 3-pointers and three rebounds in 33 minutes off the bench. DeMar DeRozan poured in 19 points while John Lucas III added 17.

Blake Griffin's 17 points and nine rebounds paced the Clippers, who struggled mightily without starting point guard Chris Paul (knee). Los Angeles shot 34.7 percent from the field and 3-for-19 from 3-point range in dropping to 2-4 with Paul on the sidelines.

Gay's 10 first-half points were overshadowed by a stout Toronto defense that limited Los Angeles to 28.9 percent from the field en route to a 46-30 lead at the break. A short Landry Fields jumper extended the advantage to 19 early in the third quarter, and Gay added a 3-pointer at the buzzer - endearing himself to the Air Canada Centre crowd - as the Raptors went into the fourth ahead 72-45.

Toronto found itself in the penalty just 2:05 into the fourth quarter, but the Clippers couldn't get closer than 20 points the rest of the way. Lucas knocked down a 3-pointer with 7:43 remaining to make it 80-57, Gay added a driving layup less than a minute later and Toronto coasted from there.
