Jazz 104, Hornets 99: Paul Millsap had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Al Jefferson scored 22 points as Utah downed New Orleans to bounce back from the worst home loss in franchise history.

Derrick Favors contributed 15 points and Randy Foye added 14 for the Jazz, who suffered a 45-point loss to the Houston Rockets on Monday.

Greivis Vasquez had 17 points and 13 assists for the Hornets, who rested standout guard Eric Gordon. Ryan Anderson scored 16 points, Robin Lopez tallied 15 points and Anthony Davis added 14.

Utah had a 10-point edge when Alec Burks hit two free throws with 7:16 remaining. New Orleans trailed 95-94 after a basket by Davis with 2:17 left before Millsap and Jefferson scored back-to-back hoops, and the Jazz held on.

New Orleans led 24-12 10 minutes into the contest before Utah rallied to take a 40-39 lead on a free throw by Millsap with 5:30 left in the first half. The Jazz led 51-47 at halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Utah is 16-5 at home. … New Orleans sat Gordon out due to the contest being the second of a back-to-back. He recently returned from a knee injury. … Jazz swingman Gordon Hayward (shoulder) missed his second straight contest.
