Tony Parker had 23 points and 10 assists and DeJuan Blair scored 17 of his season-high 22 points in the first half as visiting San Antonio won its seventh consecutive game.

Gary Neal tallied 18 points and Tiago Splitter had 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Spurs, who were without forward Tim Duncan (knee) and coach Gregg Popovich (illness) for the second straight contest.

Roddy Beaubois scored 19 points, Vince Carter added 17, Dirk Nowitzki tallied 15 and O.J. Mayo contributed 14 for Dallas, which lost for just the second time in seven games.

San Antonio led 53-43 at halftime before erupting over the first six-plus minutes of the second half. Danny Green’s 3-pointer pushed the lead to 20 points and Kawhi Leonard’s 3-pointer made it 77-51 with 5:50 remaining in the third quarter.

Dallas trailed by 20 entering the final stanza and later used a string of 10 consecutive points was to get within 97-86 with 5:43 to go. Parker responded with six of San Antonio’s next eight points to get the lead back up to 15 and the Spurs survived a final-minute 11-0 surge by the Mavericks for their second straight win with assistant Mike Budenholzer running the team.

GAME NOTEBOOK: San Antonio is 3-0 against Dallas this season and has won eight of the past 10 meetings. … The Mavericks were 17-of-18 from the free-throw line. … Spurs G Manu Ginobili (hamstring) was scoreless in eight minutes.
