Jarrett Jack scored seven of his 25 points in the final 52 seconds and added 12 assists as visiting Golden State snapped a season-high three-game slide.

Klay Thompson matched a career high with 29 points while Stephen Curry returned to the lineup after a two-game absence and chipped in 20 for the Warriors, who were without forward David Lee.

Eric Gordon scored 23 points, Anthony Davis added 20 and 12 rebounds and Al-Farouq Aminu had 14 points and 10 boards to lead New Orleans.

The Hornets held a 102-95 edge with 7:18 to play when Golden State started to get back into it with six straight free throws. Curry’s 3-pointer capped the 9-0 run and Thompson connected from beyond the arc 30 seconds later to give the Warriors a 107-104 edge.

New Orleans recovered to grab a two-point lead, but Jack’s free throws with 52 seconds left knotted it at 110. Curry fed Jack for the go-ahead basket 21 seconds later and Golden State sealed it at the line.

Thompson scored 24 points in the first half as the Warriors shot 61.4 percent to cruise into the break with a 67-57 lead. Jack and Curry combined for 13 assists in the first half and Golden State went 8-of-13 from 3-point range.

Things did not come so easily in the third quarter, as the Hornets got hot and the Warriors tapered off. Golden State missed its first six shots in the period and the Hornets used a 13-4 surge to take an 89-85 lead into the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lee rolled his ankle in Friday’s game at San Antonio and is day-to-day. … Golden State F Carl Landry (11 points and 11 rebounds) and Jack each had a double-double against their former team. … New Orleans shot 57 percent from the field but was 13-of-23 at the free-throw line.
