Heat 105, Bobcats 92
: LeBron James racked up 27 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists as visiting Miami fended off Charlotte to hand the hosts their 16th consecutive defeat.

James reached the 20-point plateau for the 31st consecutive regular-season game while adding matching a season high with four steals as the Heat won their sixth straight. Dwyane Wade led all scorers with 29 points while Mario Chalmers added 17 and Chris Bosh chipped in with 14.

Kemba Walker's 27 points paced the Bobcats, who haven't won since Nov. 24 and have dropped their last nine meetings with the Heat. Ramon Sessions had 19 points and Hakim Warrick added 18 points and nine rebounds in defeat.

James dominated the opening quarter, racking up 11 points - the first six coming on an array of dunks - as Miami quickly went up by double digits before settling for a 27-18 advantage after one. The Heat stretched the lead to 13 with James on the bench, and Wade added to the onslaught with a pair of three-point plays late in the half that helped Miami build a 55-38 edge heading into the break.

Charlotte responded with a 33-point third quarter to trim the deficit to 78-71, and Gerald Henderson converted a three-point play off a Bismack Biyombo miss with 7:16 remaining to draw the Bobcats to within two. James promptly knocked down a 3-pointer that kickstarted an 11-3 Miami run, and the Heat weren't challenged the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bobcats have surrendered at least 100 points in 15 of their 16 losses during the streak. ...
