Clippers 112, Nuggets 100:
Jamal Crawford scored 22 points and fellow reserve Matt Barnes added 20 as host Los Angeles downed Denver to stretch its franchise-record winning streak to 14 games.

Chris Paul had 14 points and eight assists and Blake Griffin added 13 as the Clippers (22-6) surpassed Oklahoma City (21-6) for best record in the NBA.

Kosta Koufos had 16 points on 8-of-8 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Nuggets, who lost for just the second time in six games. Jordan Hamilton added 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting and Ty Lawson scored 15.

Los Angeles began pulling away with a 42-point second quarter that led to a 67-48 halftime cushion. Barnes had 15 first-half points as the Clippers’ reserves outscored the Los Angeles starting five, 38-29, en route to a season-high point total for a half. The Clippers shot 58.3 percent in the half.

Denver narrowed its deficit to 75-65 on JaVale McGee’s basket with 5:31 to play in the third quarter before Clippers backup Willie Green hit back-to-back 3-pointers to push the lead back to 16. Crawford had eight points in the fourth quarter as Los Angeles reserves finished with 64 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Clippers were 11-of-25 from 3-point range with Barnes, Crawford and Green all sinking three. … Denver is 3-12 when allowing 100 or more points. … Crawford has 12 20-point outings this season.
