Jazz 99, Spurs 96: Mo Williams drained a 3-point basket at the buzzer as host Utah halted San Antonio’s five-game winning streak.

Paul Millsap had 24 points and 12 rebounds and hit the tying basket with 40 seconds left as the Jazz won their fourth straight game and improved to 9-1 at home. Al Jefferson scored 21 points and Gordon Hayward added 19.

Tim Duncan scored 22 points and recorded season-highs with 21 rebounds and six blocked shots while Tony Parker had 22 points and seven assists as the Spurs dropped to 11-3 on the road.

San Antonio had a 93-85 lead after a 3-pointer by Boris Diaw with 4:09 to play. Utah answered with a 9-1 run to tie the score on Jefferson’s dunk with 1:47 left but never led down the stretch until Williams’ game-winning shot.

The Spurs opened up a 10-point lead in the opening quarter. The Jazz took their first lead at 36-35 on a basket by Millsap midway through the second quarter and led 53-44 at the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Williams scored just eight points and missed all three of his 3-point attempts prior to the decisive basket. … Duncan has produced 20 or more points and 20 or more rebounds in the same game 21 times in his stellar career. … Utah F Derrick Favors (arch) returned from a five-game absence and had six points in 12 minutes.
