Magic 98, Suns 90: Rookie Andrew Nicholson scored nine of his career-high 19 points in the fourth quarter and finished with nine rebounds as visiting Orlando held off Phoenix.

J.J. Redick led a strong bench effort with 20 points and nine assists and Glen Davis scored 15 for the Magic, who finished up a five-game road trip with a 3-2 mark.

Shannon Brown scored 17 points, Jared Dudley had 15 and Marcin Gortat added 12 for the Suns, who have lost seven in a row.

Orlando built up a 59-48 lead less than two minutes into the third quarter but went over five minutes without a field goal as Phoenix went ahead. The Suns would go up 67-61 on Brown’s 3-pointer before the Magic closed the third with a 10-3 burst to take a one-point lead into the final period.

An 11-4 run run, highlighted by a 3-pointer from Redick and six straight points from Nicholson, put Orlando back in control 86-79 with 6:43 left. Nicholson’s free throw with 37 seconds left pushed the lead back to 10 and put the game away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Suns have failed to reach 100 points in eight straight games. … Nicholson went 9-of-11 from the floor and chipped in three assists and four steals in 25 minutes. … Orlando had three reserves reach double figures, with E’Twaun Moore (10) joining Redick and Nicholson.
