Warriors 92, Hawks 88:
Rookie Harrison Barnes had 19 points and 13 rebounds for his first career double-double and David Lee added 18 and 10 as host Golden State defeated Atlanta.

Stephen Curry had 12 points and seven assists as the Warriors reached the .500 mark and the Hawks dropped one game below it.

Louis Williams scored 12 of his 18 points in the final quarter for Atlanta. Josh Smith had 16 points and 10 rebounds, Ivan Johnson added a season-best 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting and Kyle Korver scored 14 points.

Golden State led 73-60 after two free throws by Barnes with 11:04 to play and had to hold off a frenzied charge by the Hawks. Johnson scored three straight baskets to get Atlanta within seven and later connected to make it a four-point game with 4:52 left.

Golden State pushed the lead back to 86-77 on Klay Thompson’s drive basket with 1:48 left, but Williams hit three 3-pointers in a 62-second span to get the Hawks within 90-88 with 11.2 seconds remaining. Jarrett Jack hit two free throws with 10.7 seconds left as Golden State held on despite committing 23 turnovers.

Lee had 14 first-half points as Golden State took a 54-46 lead.

The Warriors led 22-21 after the opening quarter, and Jack’s 3-pointer 61 seconds into the stanza gave Golden State a six-point lead. Atlanta narrowed its deficit to 38-37 with 4:50 to go before the Warriors went on a 16-9 burst to end the half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Golden State had a huge 46-20 edge on points in the paint. … Atlanta had just five offensive rebounds while losing the battle of the boards 43-29. … Warriors rookie Draymond Green was down for a couple of minutes with 28.3 seconds left in the third quarter after taking an inadvertent elbow to the face from Johnson. X-rays taken on Green’s jaw came back negative.
