Bulls 93, Kings 87 Joakim Noah scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as host Chicago held off Sacramento in the season opener for both teams.

Richard Hamilton added 19 points while Carlos Boozer contributed 18 points and eight rebounds as the Bulls won their fifth straight over the Kings despite shooting 41.8 percent and committing 18 turnovers.

Tyreke Evans led the Kings with 21 points and also pulled down eight rebounds while DeMarcus Cousins played through foul trouble and contributed 14 points. Marcus Thornton kept the Kings close by scoring 13 of his 15 points in the second half

Chicago scored 10 straight points midway through the third and appeared to have command as it took a 56-42 lead. The Bulls missed nine of 10 shots as Sacramento cut the lead to six going into the fourth.

The Bulls struggled to finish off Sacramento and saw their lead cut to 79-76 with just under six minutes remaining after Evans made two foul shots. Boozer hit a jumper and Luol Deng had a key dunk that stretched the edge to 83-76 with four minutes remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Noah appeared to be having issues with his hip when his feet slipped from under him in the third quarter but remained in the game. ... Kirk Hinrich started at the point for injured Derrick Rose (knee) and handed out seven assists. ... Sacramento's Aaron Brooks appeared to lose a tooth when he collided with Hinrich late in the fourth diving for a loose ball.
