BULLS 100, BOBCATS 68: Richard Hamilton matched a season high with 22 points as visiting Chicago handed Charlotte its 18th straight defeat.

Omer Asik matched a season-best with 15 rebounds as the Eastern Conference-leading Bulls rebounded from Monday’s loss to the Washington Wizards.

Kemba Walker scored 16 points, Derrick Brown tallied 14 and Gerald Henderson had 13 for the Bobcats, who dropped to 7-54 while extending its franchise-worst losing skid.

Charlotte needs to win at least one of its final five games to avoid finishing with the lowest winning percentage in NBA history. The 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers had a .110 winning percentage, and the Bobcats are at .115.

Chicago cruised to the victory despite starters Derrick Rose (foot) and Luol Deng (rib) sitting out with injuries.

Charlotte scored just nine final-quarter points and shot a season-worst field-goal percentage for the second consecutive game. The Bobcats shot 29.8 percent after shooting 30.3 percent against the New Orleans Hornets on Monday.

The game was tied at 14 five minutes into the contest before Hamilton connected on two 3-pointers during a run of eight straight Chicago points. The Bulls led by 14 points at the end of the quarter and 52-37 at halftime before steadily building on the advantage.

A dunk by Omer Asik with 5:13 left made it 95-64, pushing the lead above 30 for the first time.

Joakim Noah and John Lucas scored 12 points apiece for Chicago, which had a 57-38 rebounding advantage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Chicago improved to 23-8 on the road and visits the Miami Heat on Thursday. … Charlotte center Bismack Biyombo had 13 rebounds for his 10th double-digit effort. … Forward Taj Gibson had 12 rebounds for the Bulls. … The Bobcats confirmed that coach Paul Silas pushed forward Tyrus Thomas in a locker room altercation after Sunday’s loss to the Boston Celtics.
