PACERS 102, CLIPPERS 89:
Danny Granger scored 25 points and host Indiana turned up the defensive pressure in a rare victory against quality competition.

Tyler Hansbrough added 17 points off the bench and Leandro Barbosa scored 12 in his debut for the Pacers, who snapped a two-game slide and moved one game ahead of the sixth-place Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference.

The Pacers improved to 2-11 in their last 13 games against teams in the top eight of their respective conferences.

The Clippers had their two-game winning streak come to an end and dropped into a tie for the No. 4 spot in the West.

Los Angeles was tied with Indiana 31-31 at the end of the first quarter before the Pacers began to take over on the defensive end.

The Clippers managed only 15 points in the second as Barbosa stepped up. Acquired at the trade deadline Thursday from Toronto, the veteran guard scored nine points during a 13-5 run to begin the quarter and put Indiana in control.

Los Angeles tied it in the third quarter but Granger, who added eight rebounds, hit a pair of 3-pointers during an 11-0 burst that gave Indiana the lead for good.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Blake Griffin collected 23 points and 10 rebounds lead the Clippers. … Indiana shot 8 for 14 from beyond the arc while Los Angeles hit only 6 for 22. … The Pacers shot 24 for 26 from the free throw line.
