Carl Landry paced a balanced attack with 17 points off the bench as the New Orleans Hornets ended a nine-game losing skid Friday night with a 93-67 thrashing of the visiting Orlando Magic.

Marco Belinelli added 15 points on the strength of four 3-pointers, while Jason Smith chipped in with 14 points for the Hornets, who won for just the second time at home all season.

Dwight Howard had 28 points and 16 rebounds but didn't get much help as the Magic fell for the fourth time in the past six games. No other Orlando player reached double figures in scoring, and the other four Magic starters combined for a paltry 11 points.

Already ahead by 13 at the break, the Hornets fashioned a 7-0 run to open the third quarter thanks to an Orlando offense that turned the ball over four times in the first two minutes. The Magic struggled to trim the deficit, managing just one field goal over the final five minutes to trail 71-54 entering the fourth.

Orlando's 18th turnover led to a Belinelli layup that put the Hornets up by 21, and the Magic didn't challenge the rest of the way.
