LeBron James had 29 points and 10 rebounds as the Miami Heat evened the NBA's Eastern Conference final at a game apiece Wednesday with an 85-75 win over the host Chicago Bulls.

Miami showed its defensive chops after getting shut down in Chicago's Game 1 victory. The Heat limited the Bulls to just 29 second-half points - 10 in the pivotal fourth quarter - to wrest home-court advantage from their top-seeded opponents.

Dwyane Wade added 24 points for Miami, which hosts Game 3 Sunday.

Derrick Rose scored 21 points to pace the Bulls but had one of his worst shooting games of the playoffs, hitting just seven of 23 shots from the floor.

Miami took a two-point halftime edge and stretched it to double digits on a 10-0 run capped by a short jumper from Udonis Haslem. Chicago closed to within 71-65 after three quarters, and drew even on a Taj Gibson dunk with 7:16 remaining.

The teams then went nearly three minutes without a point until James buried a long 3-pointer to put Miami back in front. He extended the lead with a 14-foot jumper, and Chicago wouldn't get closer than three points the rest of the way.

Chicago grabbed 17 offensive rebounds but couldn't do much with them, shooting just 34.1 percent from the field.
