David West scored 17 points and Trevor Ariza added 16 - including the tie-breaking 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter - as the visiting New Orleans Hornets posted a 75-71 win over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.

The Hornets (11-1) are tied with the San Antonio Spurs for the league's best record. New Orleans' only loss came at Dallas on Nov. 15.

Sacramento (4-8) has lost seven of eight. Dontre Greene led the Kings with 15 points while Luther Head added 11.

Chris Paul was held to nine points, but had 14 assists, seven rebounds and five steals.

Ariza's 3-pointer with 3:23 left gave the Hornets a 71-68 lead, starting a 7-0 run for New Orleans. West added two baskets, stretching the lead to 73-68.

DeMarcus Cousins' three-point play cut the lead to 73-71 with 32.4 seconds left. Paul missed a jumper, but West got the rebound. Marco Belinelli's two free throws with 6.4 seconds left gave the Hornets a four-point lead.

Belinelli finished with 12 points.

Both teams shot poorly in the first half that ended with the Kings leading 39-35. New Orleans hit 14 of 46 from the field while Sacramento was 16 of 39. Neither team had a player reach double figures in the first 24 minutes.
