Vince Carter and Hakim Warrick scored 32 points apiece to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 113-110 victory over the visiting Houston Rockets on Tuesday.

Grant Hill added 19 points and Steve Nash had 14 assists for Phoenix (33-29), which is a season-best four games above .500.

Kyle Lowry had 32 points and made seven 3-pointers for Houston (33-33).

The Rockets had a chance to force overtime in the final seconds, but Brad Miller’s 3-point attempt was off the mark.

Warrick hit 14 of 19 shots while recording a career-best point total, and put Phoenix ahead to stay on a jumper with 7:15 left to give the Suns a 91-90 lead. Carter’s 17-footer boosted the lead to 104-98 with 1:59 remaining.

Carter was 13 of 17 from the field with five 3-point baskets.

Patrick Patterson had a career-high 18 points on 9-of-12 shooting for the Rockets, who also received 17 points from Kevin Martin.

Marcin Gortat had 13 points and 16 rebounds for the Suns.

Lowry hit his seventh 3-pointer with 14.3 seconds left to cut Phoenix’s lead to two points. Nash hit 1-of-2 free throws with 13.6 seconds left prior to Miller’s miss.

Houston forward Luis Scola missed the game with a knee injury to end a streak of 311 consecutive games played.
