Caron Butler added 19 points and center Ian Mahinmi covered for the absence of Tyson Chandler with 12 points and 10 rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench for the Mavericks, who forced 19 turnovers.

Dallas trailed by a point at the beginning of the fourth quarter but took the lead for good at the 8:55 mark when Terry drained a jumper that sparked an 8-2 run. Golden State trimmed the deficit to four points in the final minute but Butler split a pair of free throws and Jason Kidd converted his only basket of the game - a 3-pointer with 31 seconds left to seal the victory.
