San Antonio (13-2) lost for the first time since falling to New Orleans on Oct. 30. Manu Ginobili scored a season-high 31 points for the Spurs.

San Antonio led 88-86 before Marion’s basket and free throw put Dallas ahead to stay. Jason Terry, Tyson Chandler and Nowitzki followed with hoops as the Mavericks took a seven-point lead with 1:44 remaining.

Marion and Chandler scored 19 points apiece. Chandler also grabbed eight rebounds.
