Stephen Curry scored 29 points and the visiting Golden State Warriors snapped a four-game losing streak with a 106-102 victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.

Monta Ellis added 21 points as the Warriors held off a furious comeback to send the reeling Wizards to their seventh consecutive loss.

Nick Young scored 14 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter but it wasn’t enough to prevent Washington from absorbing its 16th defeat in 18 games.

Curry buried a 3-pointer to end the first half and another to open the second half as the Warriors built a 20-point third-quarter lead, only to see the Wizards whittle the deficit to one point on Young’s 3-pointer with 6.9 seconds to play.

After two free throws by Curry, Young missed a tying 3-point attempt to give Golden State its first win in the third game of its seven-game road trip.
