Dwyane Wade had 24 points and eight rebounds and Chris Bosh added 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Miami Heat defeated the host Detroit Pistons 106-92 on Friday.

LeBron James had 16 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds as Miami (39-14) won its eighth straight contest. Mike Miller scored 16 points off the bench for the Heat, who led by as many as 25 points.

Austin Daye scored 18 points and Ben Gordon had 16 points to pace Detroit (20-34).

Miller scored nine second-quarter points as Miami turned a four-point lead into a 21-point halftime advantage.

Miller and fellow reserve Eddie House both knocked down 3-pointers during a 10-0 run to start the quarter for a 35-21 lead. Later, Miami used a 21-5 run to take a 23-point lead on House’s 3-pointer with 1:08 remaining. The Heat led 64-43 at halftime.

Tayshaun Prince with 11 points was the only other Detroit player to score in double figures.

Miami led 24-13 late in the first quarter before the Pistons closed with an 8-1 run. But Miami pulled away with a 39-point second quarter.
