Blake Griffin scored 24 points and had 17 rebounds, leading the Los Angeles Clippers to their first road win of the season, a 109-88 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night.

The Clippers (6-21) were 0-11 on the road this season coming into the game and had lost 15 straight away from home dating back to last season. The win was Los Angeles' first on the road since March 25, a 99-93 victory over Houston.

The Pistons had no answer for Griffin, who recorded his 14th consecutive double-double. He has 20 double-doubles for the season, the second most in the league.

Griffin led five Clippers players in double figures: Ryan Gomes (18), Eric Gordon (15), Eric Bledsoe (12) and Brian Cook (12).

Los Angeles shot 56.8 percent from the field, making 46 of 81 shots.

Charlie Villanueva led the Pistons (8-19) with 18 points. Ben Gordon scored 15 points while Tayshaun Prince added 13.

Los Angeles was ahead 51-46 at halftime. Leading 57-55 midway through the third quarter, the Clippers scored 14 points in a row and finished the period on a 21-4 run to lead 80-62.

Los Angeles' largest lead was 28 points in the fourth quarter. Detroit's only lead came at 4-3.
