Kevin Durant hit a contested 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Oklahoma City Thunder a 101-98 victory over the visiting New York Knicks on Saturday.

After Russell Westbrook's free throw tied the game with 29.1 seconds left, the Thunder made a defensive stop before Durant’s heroics.

Durant finished with 30 points and 12 rebounds, and Westbrook had 28 points as the Thunder (28-15) stopped a two-game losing streak and won their fifth straight at home. They also improved to 13-4 against the Eastern Conference.

Danilo Gallinari scored 23 points and Amare Stoudemire had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Knicks (22-21), who lost their season-high sixth straight game.

Serge Ibaka had a career-high 15 rebounds and 11 points for Oklahoma City, which outrebounded the Knicks 57-40, including 22-9 on the offensive end.

Gallinari scored 18 points in the first half as the Knicks enjoyed a 60-53 lead. Westbrook scored the Thunder’s final eight points of the half.

The game featured two of the NBA’s three top scorers. Durant leads the league at 28.3 per game, while Stoudemire is third at 25.9.

Westbrook is averaging 30 points in his last four games.
