With one out, Samad Taylor walked before Maikel Garcia grounded into a fielder's choice. Witt walked to load the bases before Michael Massey and Salvador Perez each had an RBI single to tie things at 8-8.

Seattle broke a scoreless tie in the fourth as Suarez and France led off with back-to-back solo shots.

After Cal Raleigh walked, Hernandez lined a two-run homer over the wall in right-center field. Caballero added a run-scoring double before Rojas clubbed a two-run blast to make it 7-0.

The Royals bit back in the fifth, as Garcia singled to drive in MJ Melendez and Witt followed with his grand slam to pull Kansas City within 7-5.
