Elias Diaz added a grand slam in the ninth for the Rockies, who improved to 65-77.

Cron also singled and contributed two RBIs while Sam Hilliard added two hits and an RBI for Colorado, which won its second in a row.

Rockies starter German Marquez (12-10) tossed six scoreless innings and allowed six hits with six strikeouts and one walk.

Didi Gregorius hit a solo home run and Jean Segura and Bryce Harper had two hits apiece for the struggling Phillies, who lost their fourth consecutive game. They fell to 4 1/2 games behind the Atlanta Braves for first place in the National League East.

Sam Coonrod started for the Phillies (71-70) in a bullpen game and tossed one scoreless inning. The Phillies used seven pitchers in the game.

Bailey Falter (2-1) allowed three runs in one-third of an inning and took the loss.

The Rockies jumped out to a lead in the second inning when Hilliard looped an RBI single off Falter. Yonathan Daza followed with an RBI double for a 2-0 advantage. After Falter was replaced with Cam Bedrosian, Marquez helped himself with an RBI single for a three-run lead.

Philadelphia's Jean Segura doubled with two outs in the third, but Harper lined out to left to end the inning.

In the fourth, Charlie Blackmon hit an RBI single to boost the Rockies' lead to 4-0.

The Phillies placed runners at first and second with two outs in the fifth and Harper struck out swinging on a 3-2 curve ball.

Story crushed a solo homer in the seventh, his 20th of the season, for a 5-0 Rockies advantage. Colorado then went back-to-back with a 437-foot homer by Cron for a six-run lead.

Segura opened the eighth by lining out to right. Harper and J.T. Realmuto each walked and Brad Miller struck out looking. Andrew McCutchen struck out swinging for the third out.
