Sean Murphy, Matt Chapman and Matt Olson each homered, and the Oakland Athletics rallied for a 5-4 win over the host Chicago White Sox on Thursday afternoon.

Tony Kemp also had an RBI for Oakland, which snapped a four-game losing streak.

Andrew Vaughn homered to lead the White Sox. Eloy Jimenez added an RBI double for Chicago, which won three of four games in the series.

Oakland left-hander Cole Irvin (9-11) allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings. He walked four and struck out one.

White Sox right-hander Michael Kopech (3-2) took the loss out of the bullpen after giving up two runs in one inning. He replaced starter Dylan Cease, who allowed three runs in six innings.

A's right-hander Lou Trivino got the final three outs to collect his 20th save.

The White Sox opened the scoring in the bottom of the first. Luis Robert hit a one-out single, advanced to second base on Jose Abreu's walk and scored on Jimenez's double to left field.

Murphy led off the third with a solo shot to even the score at 1-1. He hit a first-pitch fastball over the wall in left field for his 14th homer, which doubled his previous career high from last season.

Oakland took a 2-1 lead in the fourth when Kemp drew a bases-loaded walk.

The White Sox regained a 3-2 advantage on Vaughn's two-run blast in the fifth. He fouled off a pair of pitches before turning on the third one for the 15th homer of his rookie campaign.

The A's quickly responded in the top of the sixth. Chapman evened the score at 3-3 with a leadoff homer to left that traveled 406 feet. It was his 19th homer of the season.

The power surge continued in the seventh as Olson hit a tie-breaking, two-run shot to right to make it 5-3. The 391-foot blast was Olson's team-leading 31st homer.

The White Sox pulled within 5-4 in the ninth. Elvis Andrus and Starling Marte collided on a high pop fly by Abreu, and Zack Collins came around to score after the ball hit the grass.

Andrus stayed down for several moments in shallow center before returning to his feet. He remained in the game for the final out.
