Cedric Mullins had two triples and two RBIs to help the Baltimore Orioles salvage the finale of a regular season-ending three-game series with a 7-5 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday in Buffalo.

The Blue Jays (32-28), who will enter the playoffs as the No. 8 seed in the American League, won eight of the 10 meetings with the Orioles (25-35) this season.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. was 4-for-4 with a two-run homer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. added a solo shot for Toronto.

Orioles starter Keegan Akin allowed four runs on five hits in three innings. Travis Lakins Sr. (3-2) relieved Akin and permitted a walk and struck out two in two scoreless innings. Cesar Valdez pitched a perfect ninth to earn his third save.

Toronto starter Tanner Roark allowed four runs (two earned) on five hits in four innings.

Blue Jays right fielder Jonathan Davis robbed Mullins in his bid for a home run with a spectacular catch. He climbed the wall in the corner to make a sensational grab for the third out in the second inning.

Davis then hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second to score Gurriel, who had doubled and moved to third on Travis Shaw's single.

Renato Nunez doubled in the third to score Austin Hays, who had singled and advanced to third on two groundouts.

Guerrero hit his ninth home run with two out in third. Randal Grichuk followed with a single and Gurriel hit his 11th homer.

Baltimore tied the game with three runs in the fourth. Grichuk was charged with a three-base error on Hanser Alberto's fly ball to center. Pat Valaika walked with one out and Mullins tripled and Hays hit a sacrifice fly.

Baltimore scored three runs against Shun Yamaguchi (2-4) in the fifth inning. Ryan Mountcastle started it with an infield single, Nunez then singled and Rio Ruiz stroked an RBI double. A run scored on Alberto's groundout and Valaika had an RBI double to stake the Orioles to a 7-4 lead.

Gurriel doubled in the eighth against Shawn Armstrong. He then scored on an error by first baseman Mountcastle on the throw of a two-out grounder by Jonathan Villar.
