Third baseman Josh Donaldson slammed a three-run homer with two outs in the eighth inning to lift the host Atlanta Braves to an 8-7 win over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday.

Tyler Flowers and Ozzie Albies reached on singles against Seunghwan Oh and Donaldson hammered a 1-1 pitch deep in the right-field stands for his fifth home run.

The victory allowed the Braves to salvage one game in the weekend series and end Colorado's eight-game winning streak in games played in Atlanta.

Rookie Jacob Webb (1-0) earned his first career victory after pitching one-third of an inning, striking out pinch hitter Raimel Tapia with a runner at second base to end the eighth.

In the ninth, Atlanta's A.J. Minter allowed two hits and retired Daniel Murphy on a fly ball. Luke Jackson entered and retired Nolan Arenado on a fly ball, and got David Dahl on a comebacker to record his first save of the season and the second of his career.

Oh (1-1) pitched two-thirds of an inning and gave up three runs on four hits and a walk with no strikeouts.

Atlanta starter Kevin Gausman had his second straight subpar performance. He gave up five runs on five hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out five.

Colorado starter Tyler Anderson allowed five runs on four hits and four walks in 4 2/3 innings. He struck out nine but gave up three home runs.

The Braves jumped on top 3-0 in the first inning when Ozzie Albies led off with a homer and, two batters later, Freddie Freeman hit his fifth homer, a two-run shot. That extended Freeman's streak of reaching base to 27 games, which matched the Atlanta record.

The Rockies rallied to take a 4-3 lead in the third. Charlie Blackmon singled home a run, and after Trevor Story hit a ground-rule double, Murphy followed with a three-run homer, his second.

Atlanta tied the score in the third on another solo homer by Albies, his fifth. Albies went 3-for-5 and became only the fifth Atlanta leadoff hitter to homer in his first two at-bats.

Colorado went ahead 5-4 on Tony Wolters' sacrifice fly in the fourth, but the Braves answered in the bottom half on a Dansby Swanson sacrifice fly.

The Rockies took the lead in the sixth when Ian Desmond went deep against reliever Dan Winkler, and Wolters singled home a run in the eighth to make it 7-5.
