Khris Davis homered twice, including the 200th of his career, leading a five-homer Oakland attack as the visiting A's defeated the Baltimore Orioles 10-3 in a Wednesday night game.

Davis finished the night 3-for-5 with four RBIs. He homered in the fifth and seventh inning, the 23rd time Davis has had a multi-homer game.

The second homer was No. 200 for Davis. He now has seven already this season.

Matt Chapman, Jurickson Profar and Chad Pinder also each homered. Chapman and Davis hit back-to-back homers in the seventh, the first time Oakland has done that this season.

The A's now have won two of the first three games in this series.

Oakland starter Frankie Montas (2-1) got the benefit of a big early lead. The right-hander retired the first 12 Orioles before giving up two homers and three runs in fifth.

He eventually allowed three runs on three hits in six innings.

For the Orioles, starter Dan Straily (0-1) lasted just 3 1/3 innings and gave up five runs on eight hits, including the first two homers. This was his first start with Baltimore as the team signed him earlier this month.

Alex Cobb was supposed to start, but the Orioles scratched him Tuesday when he was put on the injured list (lumbar issues).

Chris Davis did not start for a second straight game but came on as a pinch-hitter in the ninth and flew out to deep center, stretching his record-breaking hitless streak to 0-for-50.

The A's took a 1-0 lead when Pinder hit a solo homer to center with one out in the second.

They stretched it to 3-0 in the third thanks to back-to-back RBI hits from Chapman (double) and Davis (single). Profar then lined a two-run homer to right that put Oakland up, 5-0, in the fourth.

Khris Davis then made it 7-0 with his two-run shot to right off Josh Rogers in the fifth. Rogers came on two batters after the Profar homer.

For Baltimore, Trey Mancini led off the fifth with a homer, and two batters later, Rio Ruiz belted a two-run homer that cut it to 7-3.

Oakland then used the back-to-back homers from Chapman (two-run) and Davis (solo) in the seventh for a 10-3 lead.
