Omar Narvaez and J.P. Crawford hit home runs as the Seattle Mariners defeated the visiting Toronto Blue Jays 7-4 Friday night.

The Mariners have won five of their past six games while the Blue Jays have dropped six in a row.

The Mariners broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning against right-hander Sam Gaviglio (4-2). Dee Gordon led off with a double to right and advanced to third on Mallex Smith's sacrifice bunt. Crawford grounded out to first, with Gordon holding at third. Austin Nola walked to load the bases. Kyle Seager then drew a walk on a 3-2 count to give the Mariners the lead.

Left-hander Tim Mayza replaced Gaviglio and threw a wild pitch that scored another run, giving the Mariners a 6-4 lead. After a walk to Narvaez and a Daniel Vogelbach strikeout, Mayza was replaced by right-hander Neil Ramirez, who also uncorked a wild pitch, making it 7-4.

The Mariners' Matt Wisler (3-2) was credited with the victory after pitching two-thirds of an inning, giving up one hit and striking out one. Fellow right-hander Matt Magill pitched the ninth for his third save.

The Blue Jays opened the scoring in the first inning off left-hander Justus Sheffield, who was making his first major league start. Bo Bichette and Derek Fisher led off with singles. A two-out single by Justin Smoak scored the first run and Teoscar Hernandez's double to left field made it 2-0.

The Mariners tied it in the second. Narvaez led off with his 18th homer of the season. Then with two outs, Jake Fraley singled to right and scored on a triple by Gordon.

The Blue Jays regained the lead in the third as Randal Grichuk led off with a double and Smoak walked. Hernandez grounded a run-scoring single to left to make it 3-2.

The Mariners tied it in the bottom of the inning as Crawford drew a leadoff walk and advanced on an errant pickoff attempt by Blue Jays starter Trent Thornton. Seager drove in the run with a one-out double.

Seattle took its first lead in the fifth as Crawford hit a leadoff homer to center field, his sixth.

The Blue Jays tied it at 4-4 in the sixth as Reese McGuire reached on an infield single with one out, advanced to third on Bichette's single to left and an error by Smith, then scored on Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s infield single.
