Jose Abreu hit a three-run homer, and Yolmer Sanchez drove in a run with a suicide squeeze to lead the Chicago White Sox to a 6-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Monday night in Minneapolis.

Ryan Goins went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs for Chicago, which snapped a seven-game losing streak at Target Field.

Ivan Nova (9-9) overcame a rocky start to improve to 5-0 in his past six starts, allowing two runs on 10 hits over 5 1/3 innings. He walked one and struck out two.

Alex Colome, despite giving up three hits and a run in the ninth, picked up his 24th save.

Jorge Polanco homered and drove in two runs, and Luis Arraez and Eddie Rosario each had three hits for Minnesota which had its four-game winning streak snapped despite outhitting the White Sox 15-8.

Nelson Cruz, Miguel Sano, Jake Cave and Polanco each had two hits for the Twins, who saw their American League Central lead shrink to two games over the idle Cleveland Indians.

Kyle Gibson (11-6) allowed five runs on six hits over 6 2/3 innings. He walked one and fanned four.

Nova, who had allowed only two earned runs in his previous 37 innings coming into the contest, matched that total after three batters in the first inning as Minnesota jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Arraez led off with a double and scored on a double by Polanco. Cruz then singled home Polanco.

Chicago took a 4-2 lead in the third on an RBI single by Goins and Abreu's 27th homer of the season, a 442-foot three-run blast off the facing of the third deck in left-center.

The White Sox extended their lead to 5-2 in the seventh when Sanchez, with one out and a 0-2 count, laid down a suicide-squeeze bunt to drive in Tim Anderson, who had doubled and advanced to third on a groundout.

The Twins cut it to 5-3 on Polanco's 18th home run of the season in the bottom of the seventh, a 413-foot drive to left-center. The White Sox regained their three-run lead in the eighth on an RBI single by Eloy Jimenez, driving in Goins, who had singled.

In the ninth, Arraez singled with one out, went to third on a two-out single by Cruz off the wall in right and scored on Rosario's single to cut it to 6-4. Colome then struck out Sano to end the game.
