Ramos also had a three-run double and an RBI single, and Jeff McNeil hit a solo homer for New York.

Starling Marte hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth and had an RBI single for the Pirates.

Marcus Stroman got a no-decision in his Mets debut. He gave up three runs and seven hits in 4 1/3 innings, with three strikeouts and two walks.

Justin Wilson (3-1) pitched a scoreless seventh to earn the win.

Pittsburgh starter Chris Archer missed in his 10th attempt at reaching four wins. He gave up one run and five hits in six innings, with six strikeouts and two walks.

In the first, New York's Amed Rosario singled, stole second and later scored on Ramos' hit up the middle for a 1-0 lead.

Pittsburgh moved ahead in the bottom of the first, starting off with four straight singles. The third, by Marte, drove in Adam Frazier for a 1-1 tie. Josh Bell's single loaded the bases and, an out later, Jose Osuna drew a walk for a 2-1 lead.

The Pirates upped their lead to 3-1 and chased Stroman in the fifth. Bryan Reynolds opened with a double. An out later, Bell walked, with Reynolds moving to third on a wild-pitch ball four. Luis Avilan relieved. After striking out Colin Moran, Avilan walked Osuna to load the bases and hit Kevin Newman in the left foot to force in a run.

With one out in the seventh, McNeil jumped on the first pitch he saw from Michael Feliz and blasted his 12th homer, to right, to make it 3-2.

Against Pirates reliever Kyle Crick (3-6) in the eighth, Robinson Cano led off with a double. Ramos followed with his 11th homer, to right, to give the Mets a 4-3 lead.

Ramos struck again in the ninth, clearing the bases with a double to right to make it 7-3.
