Bryce Harper went 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBI to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 13-6 victory over the Miami Marlins on Sunday afternoon.

Harper's two-run opposite field blast off Miami reliever Jeff Brigham in the eighth was his 15th of the season and gave Philadelphia a 12-6 lead. The homer and three-hit performance moved Harper within one of 200 career homers and 1,000 hits.

Jean Segura and Cesar Hernandez also had three hits for the Phillies, who snapped a five-game losing skid against the Marlins.

Winning pitcher Jake Arrieta (8-6) allowed four runs and eight hits in six innings to improve to 3-0 against Miami this season and 8-1 in his career. Arrieta struck out six and walked one.

Arrieta's two-run single off Miami reliever Wei-Yin Chen in the sixth highlighted a seven-run sixth that broke it open for the Phillies. Chen, a former starter in the fourth year of a five-year, $80 million free agent contract, allowed five consecutive singles without retiring a batter. The left-hander was lifted after Arrieta's hit and heard a chorus of boos from the home crowd of 11,742 as he headed toward the dugout.

Harper's bases-loaded single increased Philadelphia's lead to 7-1. Arrieta scored from third on obstruction by catcher Jorge Alfaro and Segura scored on a wild pitch. Rhys Hoskins' sacrifice fly capped the scoring in the sixth for a 10-1 Phillies advantage.

Miami reduced the deficit in the sixth on Curtis Granderson's RBI double and Jorge Alfaro's two-run home run. The Marlins got closer in the seventh on Brian Anderson's run-scoring triple off Phillies reliever JD Hammer. Anderson scored on Hammer's wild pitch.

Tommy Hunter struck out the side in the eighth and Edgar Garcia pitched a scoreless ninth.

The Phillies took a quick 1-0 lead on Harper's run-scoring single off Miami starter Trevor Richards (3-9) in the first. Harper drove in Segura, who reached on a one-out double.

Scott Kingery scored from third as Harper was caught on an attempted steal of second in the third to give Philadelphia a 2-0 advantage.

Miami got to within 2-1 on Harold Ramirez's RBI groundout in the third.

Philadelphia regained its two-run lead on Brad Miller's solo homer in the fourth. Miller's blast off Richards landed in the upper deck in right field for his third home run of the season.

Richards allowed three runs and six hits in five innings. Richards, whose nine losses are the highest in the National League, walked two and struck out three.
