Brian Anderson homered, doubled and drove in three runs to lead the Miami Marlins to a 6-2 victory over the visiting Philadelphia Phillies on Friday night.

Garrett Cooper had three hits and two RBIs for the Marlins, who snapped a three-game slide.

The victory was the Marlins' fourth straight overall against the Phillies after their three-game sweep last weekend in Philadelphia. The loss snapped the Phillies' four-game winning streak.

Miami starter Elieser Hernandez (1-2) scattered three hits in 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs. Hernandez struck out seven and walked two.

Relievers Austin Brice and Nick Anderson pitched perfect innings, and closer Sergio Romo pitched a scoreless ninth for the Marlins.

Cooper's run-scoring single in the fifth gave Miami a 4-2 lead and chased Phillies starter Vince Velasquez. Cooper lined a shot past shortstop Jean Segura, driving in Miguel Rojas from second. Reliever Edgar Garcia inherited two runners and retired Anderson on an inning-ending double play.

Velasquez (2-5) allowed four runs, six hits, struck out six and walked two in 4 1/3 innings.

JT Riddle increased the Marlins' lead to 5-2 with his sixth homer of the season in the seventh. Riddle hit the first pitch from reliever Jose Alvarez over the wall in right field.

Miami pushed in another run in the seventh on Cooper's run-scoring single off Alvarez.

Velasquez hit his first career home run, a two-run blast in the fifth that reduced the Phillies' deficit to 3-2.

Hernandez kept Philadelphia hitless through the first 4 1/3 innings until Maikel Franco reached on a double and scored on Velasquez's shot that landed in the Miami bullpen behind the left-field wall.

The Marlins struck early on Anderson's two-out RBI double in the first. Anderson's two-run opposite field homer in the third increased Miami's lead to 3-0. He drove Velasquez's hanging slider inside the right field foul pole for his 11th homer of the season.
