Pinch hitter Jarrod Dyson hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Arizona Diamondbacks walked off with a 5-4 victory over the Texas Rangers in Phoenix on Tuesday.

With one out, Dyson pulled a 2-2 off-speed pitch from closer Jose Leclerc (1-1) over the fence in right field.

Arizona's Christian Walker singled to left to lead off the ninth against Leclerc and scored to make it 4-3 when Eduardo Escobar followed with a double to the wall in right-center field. Leclerc struck out Nick Ahmed before Dyson pinch hit for John Ryan Murphy.

The Arizona comeback ruined a solid start by Texas left-hander Mike Minor, who worked seven strong innings after being staked to an early 4-0 lead.

Minor scattered five hits and two walks, giving up solo homers to Murphy and Ahmed while throwing 99 pitches. Minor struck out five.

Matt Andriese (2-0) worked two scoreless innings for the win.

Elvis Andrus had two hits and two RBIs for Texas. Shin-Soo Choo went 2-for-5 with two doubles.

The first three batters of the game had hits off Arizona starter Zack Greinke, including a leadoff double by Choo and a bunt single by Rougned Odor. Andrus followed with an RBI double, and Odor scored on a groundout for a 2-0 lead.

The Rangers loaded the bases with two outs in the second, when Andrus' single to center made it 3-0. A fielding error by second baseman Wilmer Flores allowed another run to score before Greinke escaped further harm by getting Joey Gallo to ground out.

Greinke settled down and retired 14 batters in a row from the second inning into the seventh, when Choo doubled with one out. Greinke picked up his ninth strikeout by fanning Odor before being lifted for Yoshihisa Hirano, who forced Andrus to ground out to end the inning.

Greinke allowed seven hits and four runs (three earned) in 6 2/3 innings. He walked one.

Murphy lined a shot down the left-field line in the third for his second home run of the season to make the score 4-1. Ahmed's first homer of the year was a big blast to left in the seventh.
