Geraldo Perdomo ripped a go-ahead double in the eighth inning, helping the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks overcome squandering an early five-run lead in a 9-8 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday.

Ketel Marte and former Pirate Josh Bell each homered twice, including joining Joc Pederson as part of a back-to-back-to-back set in a five-run first inning.

Arizona's Corbin Carroll opened the game with a triple and scored on shortstop Oneil Cruz's throwing error as the Diamondbacks earned their fourth win in a row and eighth in their past nine games.

Cruz had a pair of RBI singles to highlight his five-hit performance. Bryan Reynolds drove in two runs and Joey Bart, Andrew McCutchen, Michael A. Taylor and Rowdy Tellez each had an RBI for the Pirates.

In a 7-7 game, Arizona's Gabriel Moreno singled to lead off the eighth inning against Colin Holderman (3-3). Moreno stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on Perdomo's two-out double to right field.

Marte led off the top of the ninth inning by launching a shot well over the right field wall and into the Allegheny River. The homer was his second of the game and team-leading 26th of the season.

The late outburst made a winner out of Dylan Floro (4-3), who retired the side in order in the seventh inning. Justin Martinez struck out the side in the eighth inning, and Ryan Thompson overcame Tellez's RBI single in the ninth to secure his second save of the season.

Pittsburgh chipped into its five-run deficit with Bart's RBI single in the fourth inning. Reynolds and Cruz each drove in a run in the fifth, and the Pirates plated four runs in the sixth to take a 7-6 lead. Cruz's infield hit put Pittsburgh in front.

Bell forged a tie in the seventh inning with his second solo homer of the game and seventh long ball in his past eight contests overall.

In the first, Carroll extended his hitting streak to nine games. He has reached base in a career-high 19 consecutive contests.

Marte went deep before Pederson sent a 0-2 slider from Luis L. Ortiz over the wall in right field and into the Allegheny River. Bell then homered to right-center on the next pitch.
