Alec Bohm hit two home runs and tied a career high with six RBIs, Spencer Turnbull had a no-hitter through 6 1/3 innings and the host Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Chicago White Sox 7-0 on Friday.

Turnbull (2-0) threw seven scoreless innings and gave up one hit while striking out six and walking two. He threw 92 pitches, 57 for strikes and lowered his ERA to 1.23.

Whit Merrifield hit a solo homer, Trea Turner had three hits and extended his hitting streak to eight straight, and Bryce Harper added two walks, two runs and a single.

Matt Strahm tossed the eighth inning and Orion Kerkering retired the side in order in the ninth as the Phillies earned their fourth win in a row.

Bohm finished with six RBIs in a game for the fourth time in his career. He matched his career best with the two homers, a feat he accomplished three times previously. He entered the day with just one homer on the season.

The White Sox managed only two hits and fell to 3-16, their worst start in franchise history.

Chicago starter Garrett Crochet (1-3) allowed five hits and seven runs with three strikeouts and two walks in three-plus innings. Crochet also served up three homers.

Gavin Sheets singled to right with one out in the seventh inning to snap Turnbull's no-hit bid. Andrew Vaughn then walked before Andrew Benintendi grounded out to second and Paul DeJong flied out to center.

The Phillies opened the scoring in the first inning when Bohm ripped a three-run home run to right field.

In the third, Bohm blasted another three-run homer, this time to left-center for a 6-0 advantage.

Merrifield hit his first home run in a Phillies uniform in the bottom of the fourth for a 7-0 lead, ending Crochet's outing.

The only blemish against Turnbull through the first six innings was a walk by DeJong in the second.

In the fifth, Benintendi flied out to right, DeJong struck out swinging and Braden Shewmake grounded out to third.

Dominic Fletcher grounded out to second to finish the top of the sixth as Turnbull kept his no-hitter intact.
