Kyle Seager's two-run double broke a tie in the top of the 11th inning and the Seattle Mariners went on to defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-4 in an interleague game Sunday afternoon in Phoenix.

Pinch-hitter Jake Bauers added a two-run double later in the inning as the Mariners won their fifth game in a row and pulled within three games of the American League's second and final wild-card playoff berth.

The Diamondbacks were swept in the three-game series and have lost eight of their past nine games.

Right-hander Yohan Ramirez (1-2) pitched a scoreless 10th for his first major league victory.

Diamondbacks right-hander Taylor Clarke (1-3) entered with the score tied at 3 in the 11th but struggled to find the strike zone. He walked Mitch Haniger and Ty France to load the bases and Seager hit a hard grounder down the right field line to score two.

Abraham Toro and Tom Murphy followed with run-scoring singles off Sean Poppen to make it 7-3 before Bauers doubled to right-center. Haniger added a run-scoring single off Brett de Geus to bring home Seattle's final run.

Arizona's Ketel Marte hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the 11th.

The Mariners broke a scoreless tie in the fourth. Haniger drew a walk and France singled. An out later, Toro grounded into a forceout to score the first run. Murphy hit a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0.

Mariners right-hander Chris Flexen allowed only one hit through five innings, a leadoff single by Josh VanMeter in the second, before running into trouble in the sixth.

Josh Rojas led off the inning with a double and advanced to third on Marte's flyout to right. Pavin Smith doubled to score the Diamondbacks' first run and David Peralta hit a two-run shot to left-center to give Arizona a 3-2 advantage.

The lead didn't last long as Seattle tied it in the top of the seventh. Toro led off with a double and Murphy singled. The run scored as Jarred Kelenic grounded into a double play.

Flexen went six innings and allowed three runs on four hits. He walked two and struck out four.

Diamondbacks lefty Tyler Gilbert gave up three runs on four hits over seven innings, with two walks and three strikeouts.
