Brandon Drury's RBI single leading off the bottom of the 10th inning Saturday night capped a comeback as the host New York Mets edged the Cincinnati Reds 5-4.

The win was the eighth walk-off victory of the season for the Mets, who snapped a two-game losing streak. The Reds' four-game winning streak ended.

Reds first baseman Joey Votto came up just shy in his attempt to tie the major league record for most consecutive games with a home run.

Votto, who homered in his previous seven games, was hitless in his first three at-bats before singling off the top of the right field wall in the eighth. He was trying to join Dale Long, Don Mattingly and Ken Griffey Jr. as the only players to homer in eight consecutive games.

The Mets trailed 4-1 before Javier Baez, who was acquired from the Chicago Cubs on Friday, hit a two-run homer in the sixth.

Jeff McNeil, whose career-high 16-game hitting streak ended, drew a leadoff walk in the ninth against Heath Hembree. Pinch-runner Luis Guillorme advanced on a wild pitch as Baez got ahead in the count 3-0 before striking out.

Hembree then struck out James McCann, and left-hander Sean Doolittle entered to face left-hitting Dominic Smith. Smith fell behind 0-2 before hitting an RBI single to center.

Edwin Diaz (4-4) escaped a first-and-third, none-out jam in the top of the 10th before Drury delivered his sixth career walk-off hit with a sharp single to center field off Luis Cessa (3-2) to drive in automatic runner Kevin Pillar.

Eugenio Suarez hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning, and Kyle Farmer hit a solo shot in the fifth and finished 3-for-5 for the Reds.

Jonathan Villar had an RBI single in the third for the Mets.

Rich Hill allowed four runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four over five innings for the Mets. Wade Miley gave up three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two over seven innings for the Reds.
