Keller pitched two innings, giving up two runs on two hits, with three walks and two strikeouts.

Frazier drew a four-pitch walk in the first. Hayes homered to center, his second, for a 2-0 Pittsburgh lead.

The Marlins tied it in the second. With one out, Keller walked the bases loaded. After Poteet hit into a fielder's choice with Jazz Chisholm Jr. out at home, Devers hit a two-run double.

With one out in the third, Frazier and Hayes walked. Reynolds bounced into a double play, with Frazier going to third. Polanco's single brought Frazier home to give the Pirates a 3-2 lead.

Poteet was evaluated on the mound before manager Don Mattingly pulled him.

Against reliever Adam Cimber in the fourth, Kevin Newman singled and went to second on Erik Gonzalez's single. Pinch-hitter Cole Tucker walked to load the bases. Frazier knocked in Newman with a single for a 4-2 Pittsburgh lead.

In the sixth against reliever Zach Pop, Gonzalez singled with one out and went to third on Ben Gamel's double. Frazier, with his National League-leading 74 th hit, drove in Gonzalez with a single. Hayes' RBI single made it 6-2, Reynolds doubled home Frazier, and Stallings drove in two with a base hit to extend it to 9-2.
