Los Angeles left-hander Alex Wood earned his sixth straight victory and Yasiel Puig returned from the disabled list to hit a homer and drive in three, helping the Dodgers to a 5-1 win over the host Atlanta Braves at SunTrust Park on Saturday night.

Wood (7-5) pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings and gave up only one hit, walked four and struck out five. He has not suffered a loss since June 9.

Wood is a 2012 second-round draft choice by Atlanta who was traded to the Dodgers in 2015. He improved to 2-3 in five starts against the Braves.

Los Angeles goes for a four-game sweep on Sunday afternoon. Atlanta has lost four straight and is 2-5 since the All-Star break.

Puig, out since July 9 with a right oblique strain, went 1-for-2 with a walk and scored two runs. He plated the first run for the Dodgers with a sacrifice fly in the second inning, then ripped a two-run homer to left in the sixth inning.

It was Puig's 12th homer and the third straight game in which he's gone deep. He homered in back-to-back games before going on the disabled list for the second time this season.

The Dodgers tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the ninth on RBI singles by Chris Taylor and Manny Machado.

Atlanta starter Max Fried (1-4) was sharp in his first game since being activated from the disabled list with a blister on the middle finger of his left hand. Fried allowed one run on two hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out seven.

Atlanta got its lone run in the seventh when Johan Camargo hooked a line drive into the visitor's bullpen in left field for his 11th homer.

Both teams made a roster move on Saturday. The Braves activated Fried and sent outfielder Preston Tucker to Triple-A Gwinnett. The Dodgers sent Alex Verdugo to Triple-A Oklahoma City to make room on the roster for Puig.
