PHOENIX -- Arizona rookie right-hander Archie Bradley gave up one run and two hits in six innings and second baseman Chris Owings homered and drove in two runs in the Diamondbacks' 8-5 victory over the Texas Rangers at Chase Field on Wednesday.

Bradley (2-0) gave up a run on three walks and a hit batter in the first inning but never was in trouble after that, giving up only singles to opposing starter Yovani Gallardo and third baseman Adrian Beltre.

Gallardo (2-2), who suffered his first loss to Arizona in eight career decisions, had the Rangers' first hit to open the fifth inning as the D-backs built an 8-1 lead.

Owings homered in the fourth inning and tripled in a run in the eighth for the D-backs (8-7), who have won four of six.

Arizona right fielder Mark Trumbo had two RBI singles and center fielder A.J. Pollock had two hits and an RBI. Bradley walked five and struck out two.

Catcher Robinson Chirinos walked on a nine-pitch at-bat with two outs in the first inning to force in first baseman Prince Fielder.

Beltre homered and center fielder Leonys Martin singled in a run in a four-run ninth for the Rangers (6-9).

Bradley has faced Clayton Kershaw, Madison Bumgarner and Gallardo in his first three major league starts, all quality starts. He beat Kershaw and left with a lead against Bumgarner. His ERA is 1.45.

Bradley walked three Rangers and hit one with two outs in the first inning, and Chirinos walked on a nine-pitch at-bat to force in a run for a 1-0 lead.

Left fielder Ender Inciarte and Pollock singled to open the Arizona first, and Inciarte scored when Beltre threw the ball past first on Pollock's infield single. Pollock scored on Paul Goldschmidt's groundout to make it 2-1.

Inciarte reached on an error by Fielder in the third and scored on Trumbo's groundout for a 3-1 lead.

Owings' first homer of the season leading off the fourth made it 4-1.

Trumbo singled in Goldschmidt from first in the fifth for a 5-1 lead. Goldschmidt was running on the play.

NOTES: Diamondbacks RHP Archie Bradley batted eighth in the lineup Wednesday, the second time in the 17-year franchise history that a pitcher hit anywhere but ninth. RHP Micah Owings started and hit eighth on June 4, 2008, in a 10-1 loss at Milwaukee. SS Nick Ahmed, in a 2-for-24 slump, batted ninth Wednesday. ... LHP Wandy Rodriguez will be purchased from Triple-A Round Rock to start Friday against the Los Angeles Angels, Rangers manager Jeff Banister said. RHP Colby Lewis and RHP Nick Martinez will pitch the final two games of the series. LHP Ross Detwiler will be pushed back after allowing 15 earned runs in 12 1/3 innings in his first three starts. Because of off days, the Rangers will not need a fifth starter until Tuesday, when Detwiler would be a candidate to return to the rotation. ... Diamondbacks 3B Aaron Hill made his sixth start at third this season after Yasmany Tomas was given a day off following his first career start on Tuesday.
